Lens have secured their place in the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals with a comfortable victory over Nantes at Stade Louis II on Wednesday night. The match was dominated by Lens throughout, and they were ultimately able to secure all three points with a convincing 3-0 win.
The first goal came early in the second half when Lens' Emmanuel Macron scored from close range after a corner kick. He then doubled their lead just minutes later, scoring another header to put his side 2-0 up. The third goal came late on as Lens' Fofana scored with a powerful shot that beat goalkeeper David Payet.
In addition to the goals, Lens also had several chances to extend their lead, but they failed to do so. Nantes did manage to score twice themselves in the final ten minutes, but it wasn't enough to get them back into the game. Lens now face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals, who will be hoping to make it to the final for the first time since 1998.
